Mool Mantar
 
The Mool Mantar is the foundational declaration of Sikh faith and appears at the very beginning of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the sacred scripture of the Sikhs. It beautifully encapsulates the essential attributes of the Divine and serves as the spiritual foundation upon which Sikh philosophy rests.
 
This artwork is a completely hand-painted and hand-written piece, created with great patience and attention to detail. The intricate composition draws inspiration from the traditional Tezhip art of Persia, known for its elaborate ornamentation and luminous use of gold.
 
The artwork has been painted using natural pigment colours, gouache and hand-prepared shell gold, while the Mool Mantar has been carefully hand-written using specially selected inks. Every element has been created by hand, making each piece a work of art in its own right.
